Dr. Sheila Bond explains to her patients, both men and women, that the procedure is quick and relatively painless. Powder is applied to the armpits and after several minutes the areas are checked for areas of perspiration to determine the exact areas of the sweat glands. Fifteen to twenty drops of BOTOX® Cosmetic are precisely injected by Dr. Bond via a very small needle into the skin of each underarm. Normal activity can be immediately resumed, but heavy exercise should be avoided for several hours.
What Are the Results?
Underarm sweating will be decreased by 90% within 48 hours and the full effect will be seen within one week*. Most patients will obtain the benefit of dryness with one treatment of BOTOX® Cosmetic for six to ten months*.
